My New Year celebration was very simple. I am at home being with some of our family members
with usual foodies and stuff for the new year.
Mom and lola were at my
brother’s house. Me, Boo, Andrei and his
parents were altogether for that night. My other
cousins were in their respective homes. I
never planned to go out of town or on a tour on my own this year because of
budget issues at the moment perhaps next year I will do travel somewhere.

Our menu was simple, sticking to our budget, which are grilled
pork liempo, pork pochero, spaghetti lasagna, rice, and a
beverage juice drink not wine or beer. And
for dessert, we had a mocha roll cake, fruit salad, and graham cake. We are through with having pancit for the New Year which is nakakasawa na, so we decided to upgrade
our menu to a simpler one while sticking on our budget. My favorite among these foodies is the pork
grilled liempo. Though it is boost with high cholesterol
stuff, it tasted so good which I can’t even resist munching it. Oh, well, I am just being true nagpapakatotoo to myself when it comes
to eating at this moment. As of now, I
am eating what I like but will consider very soon returning to exercise and diet
to lose weight.

My photo with Boo this New Year was not so great since I
only asked my nephew Andrei, a child, to take a photo shot of us. Boo is not even in the mood of having a photo
as you can see. At least, I dressed him
up for the New Year celebration and given a piece of my favorite grilled liempo in his blue food bowl. Andrei also had a good time with his new gift
which is a tablet full of games with a piece of headset.

As a traditional way of celebrating the New Year, we had
fireworks, which Andrei had a good time doing this. He even held it in his hands and asked to have
a photo of him with this. I never really
like the aftermath of fireworks
display during the midnight due to the loud noise it
creates and fuggy CO2 smoke it expels hanging throughout the air for a few
minutes.
That’s all what I have done this New Year. It is kind of simple but I will plan a better new year next year as a gift to myself. Happy new year to all.
