This is the moment when Boo was biting my dirty clothes crate of which fascinated
him I guess because of its circular hole-like shape and flexible in which he could
easily get into it when he jump on it and get inside that hole.

It has been a couple of weeks now since Boo my 3-month-old miniature dachshund puppy arrived and became part of my life.  To boost my boring lifestyle off-line the internet and add a worthwhile time rather than being addicted to social media, I decided to have a pet which eventually turned out to be Boo and so now I am babysitting my pet Boo.

Our first week.  OMG!  It was such a great adjustment for both of us.  During the first two days due to my careless feeding or improper way of feeding I almost got Boo feel sick.  That was the day after his first visit to his veterinarian and got a vaccine, he was still feeling okay back then.  During that week, I am feeding Boo five times a day with lots of warm water mixed with Alpo plus milk which made Boo sick.  Boo became very lethargic, unresponsive, vomited, and even defecated or puke pus-like bloody material which eventually alarmed me.  I then contacted the dog breeder via text messages to whom I purchased the puppy trying to acquire information what should I do in order to make Boo feel well again and save his life.  The rain was heavy that morning Tuesday but I needed to rush him to the veterinarian as my last resort.  Eventually, the breeder responded to my text query.  He told me to buy some clotrimazole antifungal drug which will be mixed with parts of water and salt and let the puppy sip it.  The purpose of which why he advised this is may be Boo has some bacterial infection inside his body or stomach.  Because I trusted the breeder, I then tried his advice.  Instead of letting the dog sips it on his own.  I purchased a small baby feeding bottle then place the mixture inside of this and let Boo suck it.

Just to make sure everything will be fine, as advised by the breeder of Boo I went to his veterinarian to have him boost with antibiotics or something as a means of treatment/cure to this ailment.  The veterinarian eventually injected Boo with antibiotics and a drug dropped right into his mouth and advised me to return the following day if Boo did get well or better at all.  That time, our hope was crucial because Boo's gums turned already into white which is a sign of death.  Luckily, after a few hours there was a hopeful progress Boo was slowly recovering from sickness or infection.  He even licked my right hand which was a sign that he wanted to eat.  Also, I observed that the worms which caused him to feel that way eventually gone down through his fecal materials which look like tape worms.  So that was our first few days.

During the second week and at present.  Boo is fine now, alive and well.  I finally figure out what food Boo needed of which a hand-scoop of dog food "without water" just plainly dry dog food like bite size biscuits.  He also had his second shot of 5in1 and anti-rabies during a day in the third week.  Boo's progress on his sleeping area of which I used a small traveling crate just enough for him to sleep which is now I see some progress.  I am using this small crate inside the house because I believe that badger dogs needed an area which is quite small like holes enough for them to fit inside.  I know it is a traveling crate but it works.  He is already sleeping inside of it during his nap time or sometimes playing with the soft towel.

After that first week came other issues like potty training, bite training, feeding time, etc.  Your right, I am a newbie when it comes to taking care of a puppy.  I never tried before to personally take care of a pet we do have local dogs before like ascals inside the house but it was my family who feeds and looks after them.

My progress so far is as follows.  I taught Boo a bit of discipline like time and place to eat and drink inside my home, time to sleep, and time to play.  In regard to tricks, I have taught Boo how to sit, come, down.  He also now knew how to fetch a toy bone. Right now, I am having a hard time potty training Boo he has biting issues.  Because of my quest for Boo to be an obedient dog I then research YouTube to help me out on this eventually I found some interesting websites that could literally guide me and are really quite helpful on how too's with dachshund puppy.

Having a pet and taking care of it is really a hard work, but I am learning and my progress in regard to my quest will eventually lead me to an obedient best friend pet.
